Charles "Fred" Arnold comes to us as an assigned umpire from Madison, Wisconsin D-4. Fred officiated games for his local league about 15 years along with last 7 years working with WI D-4. He has worked various district and state tournaments in the Madison area. In 2018, Fred had the honor of working the Junior Baseball Regional Tournament in Ft Wayne, Indiana. He is employed as a technician for 25 years by Accuweb Inc, a local manufacturing company in Madison.


Bruce Cline.  Bruce has umpired for LL for  25 years and 35 overall, He lives in Dayton Ohio and is an ADA in Ohio D8. Bruce is an office manager for Peirson Accounting Services. He's umpired LL, 50/70, Junior, Senior, Bigs, and SR softball regionals and LLWS 2016 and Senior WS 2006. 


John "Chuck" Deisbeck. "Chuck" is our district's veteran umpire with 47 years of officiating Little League Baseball. He has worked state tournaments in all divisions of baseball. He has worked our regional 19 times and 1 Junior Baseball Regional. His World Series experience includes working the 2005 Senior Baseball in Bangor, Maine and the 2013 Junior Baseball in Taylor, Michigan. In 2019, he will be a member of the Central Region Umpire Advisory Board. He lives in Peru, Illinois and works in the Quality Control Department of American Nickeloid Company in Peru.


Sam Fontecchio. From Ironwood Michigan.Retired from the City of Ironwood.Representing Michigan District 11.In addition to Umpiring for the past 29 years, Sam has been the past presidentof the Penokee Range Little League and current ADA and UIC for District 11.Sam has enjoyed the pleasure of Umpiring in State Tournaments since 1997 in both Baseball and Softball in Michigan, Wisconsin. Minnesota and Kentucky.He has been fortunate to Umpire in Regional Tournaments, including Major Boysin Indianapolis Indiana, Junior Boys in Ft. Wayne Indiana, and the Senior Boysin the Illinois Valley, along with the Major girls in Indianapolis.Among his highlights of Umpiring have been Umpiring the Little League WorldSeries in Williamsport PA in 2011 and the Junior League World Series in 2015 in Taylor M. Besides enjoying his retirement, Sam spends his time involved with hometown sports, collecting comic books and sports memorabilia and attending Bob Seger concerts.


Dennis Hill. LL volunteer umpire since 2000. Umpired 9 state tournaments both baseball and softball. Appointed 2009 Little League BB Central Regional in Indianapolis. Appointed 2010 Junior BB Central Regional in Fort Wayne and appointed 2014 Senior BB Central Regional and invited 2016, 2017, 2018.  Iowa District 2 Assistant DA and UIC since 2004. He enjoys working for E&R Industrial as a Regional Sales Manager. Hobbies include going to music concerts, golf and fishing with friends and family. 


Jamie Hinojosa. Started my Little League baseball/softball experience in 1998 coaching my daughters t-ball team. In 1999 I became the UIC for the Hurron Little League, Michigan D-5. I have been able to umpire in numerous district and state tournaments at all levels of Little League baseball & softball.  I have worked the following Little League baseball tournaments Regional Majors, Juniors, Seniors twice, Big League. Also worked Three baseball World Series. Big League 2007, Senior 2015, Junior 2018. Have Also worked the 2017 Major Softball regional. Married to Debbie for 32 years, have one daughter Kaitlyn, who teaches kindergarten. Also officiate high school, college baseball and football for 25 years.


Alex Hufford comes to this tournament as an assigned· umpire. He is from Portage, Michigan and District 2. With 8 years of umpiring (4 as a district umpire), he is no stranger to working tournaments. 2015, 2016 and 2017 , he was an invited umpire to work the 50/70 Central Region Regional Tournament in Kalamazoo, Michigan. 2016 saw him in the Junior Softball Michigan SAtate Tournament and the Michigan Senior Baseball State Tournament. In 2017 he worked the Senior Softball Michigan State Tournament. 2018 saw him work Michigan's Junior Baseball State Tournament

He is currently a student at Western Michigan University in the Sports Management program.

In his spare time he plays D1 club hockey for WMU as well as a hockey goalie coach and biking


Philip King comes to us as an assigned umpire from Lancaster, Ohio D-5. He has 10 years of experience in umpiring Little League and High School baseball and started in 2018 at the college level. In 2016 and 2017, Phil saw action in various Ohio State Baseball Tournaments He also worked the 2017 Little league Regional Tournament in Indianapolis. Phil is an IT technician when he is not officiating baseball games. His hobbies include umpiring baseball, officiating football, playing golf and spending time with his family


Dan Leslie tarted umpiring when his oldest son began playing Little League and has been umpiring for 15 years. Dan has umpired numerous local tournaments and has umpired in the 50/70 Intermediate Regional Tournament every season.

Away from the field, Dan is a Licensed Certified Pedorthist treating various foot pathologies. Dan is active in his church and is an avid University of Michigan sports fan. Dan resides in Kalamazoo, Ml and has three children.


Alan Letourneau is from Oak Lawn, Illinois. Alan has been umpiring for a total of 39 years. He has been an Illinois District 15 umpire for 25 years. He has done several District, Sectional, State and World Series Tournaments. In 2012, he umpired the 12 year old Regional in Indianapolis, in 2015 the Big League Regional in Grand Rapids, Michigan and in 2016 he umpired the Senior Regional in LaSalle Peru, Illinois. In 2017 he had the honor of umpiring the Senior League World Series in Easley, South Carolina. Alan was a board member for Burbank American Little League in District 15 for many years. He served as President of that organization for 2 years. He has worked for Peoples Energy in Chicago for 32 years. He has been married for 33 years to Laura. They have two children and two grandchildren. 


Jeremy Kautza comes to us with 31 years of Little League baseball from Waunakee, Wisconsin, District 4. He was assigned to the event in 2012. He worked as an invited official in 2011, 2013, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2018 and now 2019. He took 2015 off from our tournament to work the Intermediate Baseball Regional Tournament in Kalamazoo, MI. His credentials also include working the junior regional in 2002, the Little league Baseball Regional in 2005, Junior League Baseball World Series in 2006 and the Little league Baseball World Series in Williamsport in 2014 (after assisting in our tournament), and the Intermediate League Baseball World Series in Livermore, CA, last summer. Jeremy is also the Social Media Coordinator for Wisconsin District 4. He also officiates high school football, basketball, and baseball. He is also an internal consultant at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He's visited 28 of the 30 active MLB parks, is a self-proclaimed weather geek, and will challenge you to a Seinfeld trivia contest anytime.


Gerald Lowe. This year we are bringing back Gerald for his 9th visit(assigned and/or invited) to our tournament (2003, 2004, 2011, 2012, 2014, 2015, 2016). He has worked state tournaments in several divisions of Little League Baseball and Softball along with having the honor of working the 2013 Junior Baseball Regional in Fort Wayne, Indiana and in 2008, the Senior League Baseball World Series in Bangor, Maine. He has been working Little League games since 199 and is associated with Illinois District 17. In 2001 he became a licensed umpire for high school baseball and softball. He hails from Canton, Illinois and is a retired physical education teacher with the Farmington Illinois School District. He is a member of the Canton Elks Club #626 and is a 23 gallon blood donor at the Mississippi Valley regional Blood Center. Hobbies include sports card and projectile point collecting.


James Meurer. With 29 years of umpiring experience, James Meurer brings that experience to our tournament for the fifth time. He lives in Naperville, Illinois and is the UIC for Illinois District 11. He has officiated numerous district, sectional and state tournaments. He also was awarded the honor of working the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania in 2011. Jim is retired. 


Max Stella. Being a 14 year veteran of this tournament, he comes to us from Wausau, Wisconsin, District 5 and is a retired Electrical Engineer. Besides this tournament, his 40 years of experience has given him the honor of working the Little League Baseball Regional, the Junior League Baseball Regional Tournament as well as the 2007 Senior League Baseball World Series in Bangor, Maine. He is the Umpire-in-­Chief for the Wausau Little league., District 5 ADA and Umpire Consultant for Wisconsin District 5.


This is Steve Wagner’s 4th time here as an invited umpire, and his fifth time working the Senior League Regional Tournament. Steve has been a volunteer Little League umpire for 20 plus years and his resume includes every level of State tournament, many multiple times. He has also worked Regional tournaments in Big League Baseball, Junior League Baseball, Little League Baseball, Big League Softball, Senior League Softball, and Junior League Softball. The pinnacle of Steve’s umpiring career was in 2011 when he was selected to umpire the Junior League Baseball World Series.Steve is the Manager of the Garden Department of Home Depot in Valparaiso, Indiana. He lives in DeMotte, Indiana with his wife, Diane, and dogs, Yogi, Chase and Misty. Steve and Diane have 2 grown children, Alex and Anastasia, a grandson, Korbin, and a new grandchild on the way.


Dan Weiczorek. I am currently entering my 44th year as a baseball official, 30+ of those years umpiring Little League baseball. I have worked 20 Central Region Senior Baseball Regional Tournaments (assigned in 2013), the Central Region Junior Baseball Regional Tournament (2014), the Junior Baseball World Series (2015), three Illinois High School Association State Finals, 10+ Illinois Elementary Association State Finals, and the AABC Sandy Koufax (14U) World Series. I’ve served as a committee member for the Central Region Senior Baseball Regional Tournament for the past ten years. I retired in 2014 as a high school teacher (37 years) and high school athletic director (20 years).


Justin York. Coming to our tournament for the seventh year from Indiana District 10 and New Haven, Indiana, Justin has officiated Little League Baseball for 16 years as well as being a licensed Indiana High School official for 4 years. He has worked state tournaments for Little League Baseball, Junior League Baseball, Senior League Baseball and Big-League Baseball. Besides working our tournament. He has worked the Junior League Baseball Regional Tournament. He is a Project Superintendent at Brooks Construction. He is a HUGE Detroit Tiger fan.
