From the cool and often damp days of April through the heavy heat of July, the ultimate goal of all senior league players is to participate in the Senior Baseball World Series held in Easley, South Carolina. All of the regional tournaments around the world feed into this tournament. You are currently browsing the site of one of these regional tournaments -- the US Central Region. After a 3 year absence, this tournament came back to the Illinois Valley in 2011. The 2018 tournament will mark the 33rd anniversary of the tournament being held in the Illinois Valley. The 2018 tournament will be held July 20 thru July 25.

Due to the extreme heat forecast, there will be a change for Saturday’s games (July 20) for the Central Region Senior Baseball Regional Tournament hosted by Illinois District 20

NEW TIMES AT BOTH  PERU AND OGLESBY

9:00 AM; 11:00 AM; 7:00 PM

------------------------------

To all our guests;

Welcome to Peru and Oglesby, Illinois for the Senior League Central Region Tournament. I want to pass along a safety concern of mine for you as our guests here. The forecast for this coming weekend is temperatures in the upper 90's with heat indexes over 100 degrees. I encourage you all to bring tents with you to the ball parks. There is shade in most areas  which will fluctuate with the time of day. On Friday night at opening ceremonies, and throughout the weekend in Oglesby, we will have a large 40 ft x 20 ft tent available with two large fans for our guests to cool off if needed. We will also have on hand numerous smaller tents at each park for you usage. All we ask is that you return them when you are done with them. In Peru we do have a trailer with air conditioning if needed. Please bring some type of UV protection with you as well. Everyone please keep hydrated during these times. Game times may change to avoid the hottest times of the day. This will be on a day to day basis so please be ready to adapt.

In closing, I as well as the tournament committee is very excited to have you here as our guests. If you have any questions at any time please do not hesitate to ask a committee member. Safe travels here, and have a blessed day...Tim
